ABSTRACT
The biological activity of goniothalamin was tested on fungi and bacteria. In antifungal test, goniotalamin showed inhibition effect on Metarhizium anisopliae at the concentration 30*g/disc and 40*g/disc with their respective inhibition zones, 18 and 20mm. In antibacteria test, goniothalamin showed inhibition on all tested bacteria except for Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Minimum inhibitory concentrations for Bacillus subtilis, Enterobacter aerogenes, Enterobacter cloacae, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, Proteus vulgaris, Ralstonia solanacearum, Salmonella typhimurium, Staphylococcus aureus, Serratia marcescens and Streptococcus faecalis ranged between 0.0195-0.3125*g/ml.
